$10 DIY LIght Fixture Makeover

The cheapest and quickest way to transform your home is (drum roll please)….with paint. Paint can turn the drabbest light fixture into a modern stunner. I recently gave my entry light fixture a makeover with some good ole’ black household paint in the video below. WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• An old light fixture (thrift shops and Facebook marketplace is great for finding these on the cheap)

• Paint (other have used spray paint as well)

• Paintbrush

• Towel

• Sandpaper (if necessary)

1. Sand down the light fixture if needed

2. Wipe down the light fixture with a towel to rid it of any debris

3. Paint a layer of paint onto the light fixture

4. Let the paint dry

5. Add another coat of paint if necessary

6. Let the paint dry

And that’s it! Whether it’s on your bathroom vanity or a hanging pendant light, re-painting your light fixture is an easy and budget-friendly facelift to your home.
